We talk a lot about ladies hair in our London hair salon but sometimes forget about our menfolk and their hair needs.
Some of our stylists went over to Paris for the menswear and couture shows last week and reported back on the hair trends they had seen.
It seems that vintage dos are still a big inspiration for men’s hair trends at the moment. Hair was slick and gelled back off the face with a closely graded short back and sides. Look to TV series Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire for the best examples.

Our favourite looks were seen on the runway at Kris Van Assche. The glossy neat styles supported the utilitarian structured cuts of the collection lending a post-modern, Kraftwerk kind of feel.

Try recreating this at home with some Bumble and Bumble Prep to wet down the hair, a nice squeeze of Gellac for hold and shine and a trusty grooming comb to shape. Use another mirror to make sure the back looks as good as the front.
